Jason
has been a journalist for 18 years, and now fulfils
the role as Journalism Teacher (Northwest Missouri
State University) He is also author of the book
"Haunted Missouri: A Ghostly Guide to the Show-Me
State's Most Spirited Spots." Please click the

Jason
explains a brief history: "In my career I've been a
newspaper editor, general assignment reporter,
photographer, newspaper consultant, bartender, farm hand
and the mayor of a small Midwestern town. Out of all
these jobs, other than writing, being a farm hand has
done the most to shape my life. I learned what real work
was like, I learned to appreciate those who do it on
purpose, I learned that working outside in the heat,
cold, wind and rain is good for you, and I learned that,
basically, I don't like to smell like a pig all the
time.
I've
been published in Missouri Life Magazine, Night Terrors
Magazine, Kansas City Family Magazine, The Kansas City
Star, Next Phase Magazine, Parentguide News, and Dragon
Magazine. I've
had numerous humor essays recently published in the
Guideposts Books "Let There Be Laughter"
series
