Fluorosis: over-ingestion of fluoride It is, in fact, a disease caused by fluoride -- the only sign of systemic poisoning.

HISTORY  

Fluoride was the key chemical in atomic bomb production, according to recently de-classified documents. Massive quantities millions of tons were essential for the manufacture of bomb-grade uranium and plutonium for nuclear weapons throughout the Cold War. One of the most toxic chemicals known. Fluoride emerged as the leading chemical health hazard of the US atomic bomb program, both for workers and for nearby communities the documents reveal.

Other revelations include: Much of the original proof that fluoride is safe for humans in low doses was generated by A-bomb program scientists who had been secretly ordered to provide "evidence useful in litigation against defense contractors for fluoride injury to citizens. The first lawsuits against the American A- bomb program were not over radiation, but over fluoride damage, the documents show. August 1948 Journal of the American Dental Association shows that evidence of adverse health effects from fluoride was censored by the US Atomic Energy Commission (AEC)- considered the most powerful of Cold War agencies- for reasons of "national security".

Fluorides have been used to modify behavior and mood of human beings.

It is a little known fact that fluoride compounds were added to the drinking water of prisoners to keep them docile and inhibit questioning of authority in Nazi prison camps in World War II. By 1940 Soviet concentration camps maintained by fluoride administration to inmates to decrease resistance to authority and induce physical deteriorization.

 Fluoride is the main ingredient in Prozac.

Sodium fluoride, is an ingredient in rat poison. Fluoride is not a nutrient; it is a toxic industrial waste - obtained from scrubbing the air emissions from smelters and phosphate fertilizer plants. They sell it to the cities that are fluoridating the water supply, and that's what goes into the water. (9)

It's either sell it, or pay to have it buried. Follow the money!

Fluoride was found to be an equivocal carcinogen by the National Cancer Institute Toxicology

Fluoride is 1000 more times toxic than lead.

 UNDISPUTED FACTS  

At least 22% of all American children now have dental fluorosis as a result of ingesting fluoride, according to The Centers for Disease Control (CDC). That rate may be 69% in children from high socioeconomic-status families and those who live in fluoridated communities.(6) Fluorosis is the discoloration and, in advanced cases, the pitting of teeth. Bleaching is not effective.

"In Canada we are now spending more money treating dental fluorosis than we do treating cavities. That includes my own practice. " - Dr. Hardy Limeback, B.Sc., Ph.D in Biochemistry, D.D.S., head of the Department of Preventive Dentistry for the University of Toronto, and president of the Canadian Association for Dental Research.

Americans, even in unfluoridated communities, are suffering serious harmful health effects from overexposure to fluoride due to its widespread and uncontrolled use. Fluoride can be found in any food or beverage made with fluoridated municipal water. Less than 2% of Western Europe drinks fluoridated water compared to over 60% of the United States population.

Federal and state public health agencies and large dental and medical organizations, such as the American Dental Association, continue to promote fluoride despite growing evidence that it is harmful to public health and the environment. This is also despite EPA's own scientists, whose union, Chapter 280 of the National Treasury Employees Union, has taken a strong stand against fluoride.

1994: The American Dental Association's (ADA) Council on Scientific Affairs approved a new Fluoride Supplementation Dosage Schedule with the following cautions, "All sources of fluoride must be evaluated with a thorough fluoride history. ... Patient: exposure to multiple sources can make proper prescribing complex." The ADA does not point out in their recommendations that multiple sources of fluoride include processed foods and beverages, which also makes it impossible to determine fluoride exposure or control it.

There is on virtually every toothpaste container a warning that says "ingesting more than a pea-sized amount of toothpaste requires that you call the poison center"

 STUDIES

 Central Nervous System Damage from Fluorides

l)A recent study in Brain Researd1 demonstrated that chronic exposure to fluoride in drinking water of rats compromised neuronal (hippocampus) and cerebrovascular integrity (blood brain barrier) and increased aluminum concentrations in brain tissues.

2) Masters and Coplan have reported (Intemational Joumal of En vi ronmental Studies, in press) that silicofluorides in fluoridated drinnking water increased levels of lead in d1ildren's blood, a risk factor that predicts higher crime rates, ADD and learning disabilities.

3) Luke at the International Sociay for Fluoride Research (ISFR) metting in August reported that fluoride accumulate in the human pineal gland, as much or more so than in bones and teeth, and the pineal gland's melatonin biosynthesis pathway is affected by fluo- ride.

In 1991, the Akron (Ohio) Regional Poison Center reported that "death has been reported following ingestion of 16mg/ kg of fluoride. Only 1/10 of an ounce of fluoride could kill a 100 pound adult. According to the Center, "fluoride tooth paste contains up to 1mg/gram of fluoride." Even Proctor and Gamble, the makers of Crest, acknowledge that a family sized tube "theoretically contains enough fluoride to kill a small child."

Fluorides have little or no effect on decay prevention in humans:

In 1990 Dr. John Colquhoun is forced into early requirement in New Zealand after he conducts a study on 60,000 school children and finds no difference in tooth decay between fluoridated and un fluoridated areas. He additionally finds that a substantial number of children in fluoridated areas suffered from dental fluorosis. He makes the study public. There is no scientific data that shows that fluoride mouth rinses and tablets are safe for human use,

Tile FDA considers fluoride an unapproved new drug. An investigation revealed that neither the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) nor the National Institute of Dental Research (NIDR) nor the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has proof of fluoride's safety or effectiveness (7)

The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology has classified Fluoride as an unapproved dental medicament due to its high toxicity

Fluorides diminish the intelligence capability of the human brain.(3)

Fluorides accumulate in the brain over time to reach neurologically harmful levels. (4)

"Drinking water containing as little as 1.2 ppm fluoride will cause developmental disturbances. We cannot run the risk of producing such serious systemic disturbances. The potentialities for harm outweigh those for good." (5)

It has been banned or discontinued in 21 European countries along with Japan and Hawaii.

Only 6% of Britain is fluoridated, they have ordered 100% of Ireland's water to be fluoridated. (Britain controls Ireland)

Mortality in selected cities with fluoridated and non fluoridated water supplies, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 1978 contains the following observation: "This pattern of a higher crude death rate in the cities with fluoridated water supplies was apparent for all categories of death except for those by accidental means and suicide."

International studies which have "clearly revealed that fluoride is linked with arthritis, hip fractures, cancer and other diseases, and even premature skin wrinkling." (8)
